With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, the writer, director, producer, playwright, actor, and studio owner Tyler Perry is bringing his latest film, A Jazzman’s Blues, to TIFF. Written by Perry in 1995 and filmed last year at his 330-acre studio lot in Atlanta, Georgia, the film follows an investigation into an unsolved murder — unravelling a story of forbidden love, deceit, and a secret.
